Sorting by polymer type
At our Nutts Corner facility, advanced sorting technology separates plastic by polymer type at speeds of 3.5 tonnes per hour – diverting over 420 tonnes a week from landfill. This stage ensures a cleaner, more reliable feedstock.
Shredding and washing
The sorted HDPE is transported to our Lurgan site, where it’s granulated into flake (around 50p size), then washed and dried to remove all contamination. Each tonne takes just 90 minutes to fully clean and prepare.
Melted and pelletised
The clean flake is then melted and turned into high-grade plastic pellets at up to 2 tonnes per hour. These pellets are fed directly into our extrusion lines – ensuring consistency and reducing dependency on third-party raw materials.

Following major investment – including a new high-output Erema repelletising line in 2023 – our Lurgan site is equipped to handle significant volumes for both our own use and external partners.
